The Tragic Deaths of Seven Storm Chasers All with a Single Thing in Common
It was announced publicly yesterday evening that Joel Taylor passed away while on vacation. Joel’s is the seventh death from the cast of Storm Chasers, the television documentary series by Discovery. He was Reed Timmer’s quiet and understanding chase partner in the series and one helluva nice guy off-camera.

Storm Chasers was a television series that premiered on October 17, 2007, on the Discovery Channel. Produced by Original Media, the program followed several teams of storm chasers as they attempted to intercept tornadoes in the United States. The show was canceled at the end of its 5th season by Discovery Communications on January 21, 2012.
